On the A side was "Uncle Arthur", "Sell me a coat", "Rubber Band", "Love you till Tuesday," There is a happy land "," We are hungry men "and" When I live my dream. " And on the flip side: "Little bombardier "," Silly boy blue "," Come and buy my toys "," Join the gang "," She's got medals, "" Maid of Bond Street "and" Please Mr.Gravedigger. The album was released first in the U.S., April 67, mono and stereo versions, but "We are hungry men" or "Maid of Bond Street", with only six songs per side and with errors writing of "Little Bombardier" (credited as "Little Bombadier") and "Silly boy blue" (wrongly written as "Silly boy Blues"). mono editions had different mixtures, which are felt mainly in "Uncle Arthur" (where your palms away from the start and end) and "Please Mr. Gravedigger", the latter as "Rubber Band" had rewritten as the master of the first recording sessions are lost. A sad loss for although "Rubber Band" and "London boys" were printed a single, original version of "Please Mr. Gravedigger" was lost for many years, until 2007, an acetate with the version circulated among fans, revealing a body that came with sound effects and voice Bowie.
There are some demo versions of some songs that circulated in some bootlegs in later years. One of them is "Love you till tuesday", of which there is a demo version and a version sung in German. There are also five other versions of "When I live my dream", a rewrite that apparently was intended to be the 4th single for Dram, a version with a letter slightly different (known as "My Dream"), a German version, recorded in 1969 for a TV program entitled "Mit Mir In Deinem Traum" and finally two versions included in the pantomime of 1970, "The Looking Glass Murders." From "Silly boy blue" there is also a demo version recorded with "The Buzz" (the same Fearnley, Boyes and John Hutchinson Eager plus guitar).
The December 18, 1967 Bowie recorded "Love you till tuesday", "Silly boy blue," "When I live my dream" and "Little Bombardier" to the "Top Gear" on BBC, which was broadcast on December 24, 1967 and repeated on January 28, 1968. Bowie is joined by Arthur Greenslade and his orchestra of 16 musicians, was produced by Bernie Andrews. "Silly boy blue" was also recorded for the second presentation of Bowie at the BBC, also in "Top Gear", the May 13, 1968, but was not transmitted. This recording was produced by Tony Visconti and 14 other musicians, including Herbie Flowers on bass, Barry Morgan on drums and John McLaughlin on guitar.
Also in 1968 the British singer Billy Fury covers "Silly boy blue" in a single, with "One minute woman" and side B (this version was included on the tribute CD "Oh you pretty things", 2006) . In February next year Bowie shooting a film called "Love you till tuesday", which included some tracks from this LP and some new songs. Among the topics were "Rubber Band", "Love you till tuesday" (without the coda), "Sell me a coat" (with additional vocals by Hermione Farthingale and John Hutchinson) and "When I live my dream" ( the new version for the 4 th single for Dram).
LP is reissued on several occasions, the first in 1973 in Japan under the Dram label, King Records, a reissue well known Argentina in 1976, an English and French, 1980, 1981. In 1983 Germany and the U.S. appears in the first edition LP on CD, under the label London, which is reprinted in 1987 and reissued in 1984 on LP in England including a cassette version. In Spain, the album was released twice in CD format, the first in 1991 when included in issue No. 28 of the magazine "Jazz and Rock" and the second in 1993 in a special edition for the "World Book Club" within the series "60, 60." Rebound In 1998, the label reissued the CD in the U.S. but not "Silly Boy Blue" and "Little Bombardier", a curious choice, perhaps tried to replay the original American version of twelve songs, but rather to exclude the issues that drew the original version left aside the two issues that were poorly written. In any case since 1970 that the Dram material is published in a lot of compilations, some of them even included the full LP.
In 2000 Bowie rewrite "Silly boy blue" for its project "Toy", but this is never officially published in February next year's performed live with Tony Visconty, Moby and a choir of Tibetan monks in the Tibet benefit concert held at Carnegie Hall in New York.
